Liphium AI Usage Disclosure

Effective: 02.08.2026, last updated: 02.08.2026

At Liphium we love creating things and there is a lot of passion in all projects created here. All of us work on the projects we maintain in our free time and the only thing we may receive are donations.

While this page was created for the AI Act from the European Union, which is a really important regulation requiring disclosure of AI content across a lot of places, I wanted to create this page anyway.

Pictures and art assets

We will never generate any assets using AI or add any sort of features like this to any of our products. Media generated using AI is often used for deceptive purposes and we don’t want to support any of it.

On the other hand, human artists are just so much better anyway. If we need anything, we’ll just commission someone.

Documentation

Within our documentation, mostly at liphium.dev, we use AI to verify and sometimes also generate small parts of the documentation. However, we throughly read through all of the documents.

Documentation is one of the most important parts of any software, especially libraries, and AI is not a good replacement for humans writing good explanations by hand.

Source code

Most of the source code you’ll find in Liphium repositories is written by hand. However, we often use AI to find quick bugs or debug something. Prototyping is also often a lot of work and making quick throwaway demos is something AI is really good at. Some parts of prototype code created by AI may be included in projects created at Liphium.

On the other hand, one important part of the projects we create is to be the complete opposite of what all of the vibe coders are doing and show that you can use AI responsibly. And that the results are also a lot better when you actually read what you’re creating. I hope you trust us with using AI responsibly and not shipping slop.

This part about source code is currently just here to give you a little idea about our AI usage during coding. We’ll expand on it more in the future.

AI on Liphium Space

If you’ve come here from Space, you may have encountered a feature that allows you to interact with AI. All of those parts will be clearly labeled and link to this page.

Any content returned from these chatbots is of course generated, please make sure to double-check any results.

Conclusion

We hope you can understand our usage of AI. If you don’t like it, I, personally, can simply tell you that I’ve had more fun making stuff than ever before and that I’ll never accept a decrease in quality for a speed increase of any kind.

We probably wouldn’t even have to disclose this much, but I wanted to do it anyway since it seemed like the best thing to do because a lot of people care about it. Thanks for caring about quality and I hope that you don’t consider what we make slop.
